More views from Cerro San Cristobal

This is a view of the Andes (looking toward the East from the hill's summit). The hazy/foggy appearance is smog. How sad! They have a lot of smog in Santiago. :-(

This is the same view without zoom.

This is the statue of the Virgin Mary at the top of San Cristobal. You can judge her size by comparing to the people standing below her. They were doing some maintenance work, hence the scaffolding.

Another view of the Lady.

And another partial view of the city from the summit. The view is the same 360 degrees around the hill: city and buildings for as long as the eye can see. Actually, my favorite time to be up there, is at night when the city lights seems to glow into outerspace. It is so beautiful and romantic being up there just watching the starts above and the city lights below. It's one of my favorite views - but it still doesn't compare with being at the beach . . . ;-)
